Small liquid nitrogen plant uses high quality carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent to separate nitrogen from air, based on the principle of pressure swing adsorption under certain pressure. Purified and dried compressed air is adsorbed when pressurizing and desorbed when depressurizing in adsorption towers. Owing to dynamical effect, oxygen diffusion rate in carbon molecular sieve pores is faster than that of nitrogen. Before reaching adsorption balance, nitrogen is concentrated to be product nitrogen gas. Then, depressurize to normal pressure, oxygen is desorbed to regenerate. There are two adsorption towers in the system, which separate nitrogen and oxygen alternatively, with the automatic control of PLC, to get high purity nitrogen gas continuously. Then, qualified nitrogen gas enters into air cooling oil-free recycle compressor and liquefaction plant to get liquid nitrogen.
This equipment has futures of simple technical process, high automation degree, convenient start on/off, less consumable parts, easy maintenance and low production cost, etc.
